We at Serenity Place Rescue are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating cats and kittens in hopes that one day no animal will be with out a loving and responsible forever home.
Serenity Place Rescue is a group of volunteers who come together to help cats and kittens who otherwise would die or find themselves homeless. After many years volunteering with shelters and other rescue organizations, we knew there was more assistance needed in the community for families and the elderly who found themselves unable to care for their beloved pets. Serenity Place Rescue was formed in 2004 and we are a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
The history of our rescues vary from being abandoned on the streets; relinquished to a city or county shelter where they are at the risk of being euthanized due to overcrowding; owners moving with no plans to take their pet along; or in the case of owners demise. Some come to us with physical handicaps or injured others have tested for kitty aids virus (FIV) or leukemia (FeLV) positive.
Along with rescuing and rehoming which is done to a criteria and prodicol geared to the best interest of the felines, we are dedicated to educate the community and assist as we can. We offer our vast knowledge covering topics from appropriate selection of a kitten and/or cat; preparing home to receive a feline; medical and grooming needs; spay/neuter information including resources for the procedures and so much more.
